Cold weather can increase propane use quickly, and waiting until a tank is nearly empty leaves little room for changing road conditions or a surge in delivery requests. Donny’s Keep Full program is designed to help customers plan ahead by allowing our team to monitor tank levels remotely and schedule refills at a more appropriate time.

Remote monitoring cannot prevent every possible interruption, but it can reduce the risk of an unexpected runout caused by normal fuel use. It also gives our delivery team better information when planning routes across Middle Georgia.

How Keep Full monitoring works

Eligible Keep Full or automatic-delivery customers can have a monitor installed on their propane tank. The monitor reports the tank’s approximate fuel level so Donny’s team can watch usage and plan a delivery before the supply becomes critically low.

This is different from waiting for the customer to read the gauge and call. Instead, current tank-level information becomes part of the delivery-planning process. That can be especially useful during winter weather, periods of heavy household use, or times when a customer is away from the property.

Why planning ahead matters

During a widespread cold spell, many customers may need fuel at the same time. Road safety can also affect when trucks can reach a property. A monitor provides earlier visibility, helping the team prioritize routes while conditions are still manageable.

Customers should still pay attention to their propane use and keep access to the tank clear. A monitor is a helpful planning tool, not a substitute for safe property access, working equipment, or communication when something unusual changes at the home or business.

What customers can do before cold weather

  • Check the tank gauge before a forecasted cold snap.
  • Keep the driveway and tank area accessible for the delivery truck.
  • Tell Donny’s about changes that may increase usage, such as a new propane appliance.
  • Do not wait until the tank is empty to request fuel.
  • Ask whether your account and tank are eligible for Keep Full monitoring.

Is Keep Full right for you?

The program may be a good fit for customers who want help staying ahead of routine deliveries, use propane as a primary heat source, manage a seasonal or second property, or simply prefer not to track the gauge alone.

Donny’s Propane appreciates the patience and loyalty customers showed during the heavy winter demand of January 2026. Our team worked extended hours to safely respond to existing customers, and the experience reinforced the value of earlier tank-level visibility and route planning.
